Hey ginger lovers....Here's to a new flavorful ginger treat to go with that fresh and tangy ginger juice. Grab one on a cozy afternoon or enjoy it post-workout -no judgement here :). You can recreate at home. Made soft, spiced, and with the right amount of sweet.
PGFY Ginger Doughnut Recipe
Makes 12 baked doughnuts Prep Tine: 20 minutes
Bake time: 17 minutes
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup coconut oil melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses1 large egg
1 cup low fat milk
1/3 cup fat free greek yogurt
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Greas 12 count doughnut pan
Combine first 6 ingredients and set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix coconut oil, brown sugar, molasses, and egg to combine. Add milk and yogurt and mix well.
Add flour mix to liquids and whisk till combined.
Bake for 17 minutes.
Mix the last three ingredients in a separate bowl. Tip the freshly baked doughnuts to and bottom into the ginger cinnamon and sugar mix and enjoy!!!
